This handcrafted cutting board is made of breath-taking walnut and cherry tree wood and will forever change the way you feel and show up in the kitchen. Chopping, cutting, seasoning and serving over this walnut & cherry beauty–strong and smooth at the same time.

Sustainably and locally sourced walnut is one of the finest hardwoods and it is preferred for its amazing appearance and durability. Combined with cherry for an elegant look.

Treated with Food Grade Butcher Block Oil and Butcher Block Conditioner.

 

Care: 

1 ) Clean after every use with vinegar is an excellent solution for people with chemical allergies. Lemon juice and salt are great options as well.

2 ) Dry after washing to reduce the moisture on the board.

3 ) Disinfect often or every time you cut meat on it.

4 ) Wax or oil regularly, at least one a month or more often if heavily used. Even if you see knife marks on your board, it is not too late, but it’s definitely time for a wax. For best protection treat with linseed oil or FDA Certified mineral oil. For better results you might also use beeswax. You can also use oils such as sunflower, olive etc. are inappropriate for treatment. They become bitter after a while and spoil food taste.

5 ) Feel free to cut, chop and serve anything on it, hot or cold.

- Do not put it in a hot oven or in the microwave.

- Do not put it in the dishwasher.

- Do not put it in the freezer (fridge is okay).

- Do not worry if you see that some foods “dye” the board. If you clean, oil and wax your board properly, the discoloration will disappear.

*Please note that due to the nature of materials, i.e. wood, the product you receive might be slightly different in terms of pattern and coloring from what you see in the image. It will be, however, of the same quality and will closely resemble the image.
